LGBTQIA+ IDENTITY: A Therapeutic Approach

Katie has 10 years working with LGBTQIA+ Identity individuals and their families. Most of the work takes form when those identifying and their families begin to talk about their experience. Self-acceptance is a huge part of healing through any transition. Katie holds space for those searching and evolving with their identity. It’s a very exciting, empowering time for the process!

Mindfulness and ACT therapy are two approaches Katie utilizes when working with individuals. Mindfulness is focusing clients on being in the here and now and being comfortable in your own skin… Accepting your unique, fabulous qualities. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is a relatively new approach of living a life of purpose and value. Sounds amazing …Right?!!! This approach is shifting your focus to looking at what your needs are and what you treasure in life…What makes you tick!!

Self-Love is key when we do brave things. Katie is there to support you and hold a space for you to be your best self!
