Katie AsneR

Beyond being a licensed marriage and family therapist, I am an artist. I’ve been an actor and producer for more than 20 years. Some of the productions I’ve worked on include Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, What Women Want, Malcolm in the Middle, and Ally McBeal. I love the power of storytelling and creating eccentric characters!

Artists look at the world differently and can often be resourceful in finding solutions when others cannot, for they use their entire being to process emotion and facilitate communication.  As Michelangelo said when asked how he created David, his masterpiece marble sculpture, “I simply chipped away at everything that was not David.” My artistic background helps me to problem-solve and think outside the box. I join with each client and practice unconditional positive regard. I’m an optimist: I believe in people and in helping my clients find their best selves for themselves.

I BELIEVE IN YOU.

When not engaged in professional endeavors, you can find me refurbishing old junk into new masterpieces or spending quality time in my garden. I have been married to Michael Luckerman for almost 25 years and we are the lucky parents to three amazing teenagers: Charlotte, Sam, and Gabe. In addition, I have 9 chickens and a rescue puppy dogs: Shadowfax.
